Three Words Never to Say in an Interview

You are on a radio or TV show being interviewed about your new book. Congratulations! Your publisher tells you "PUSH THE BOOK- PUSH THE BOOK- YOU ARE THERE TO SELL-" Well - Yes and No. Often authors are trying to sell their book so hard that they turn off the host and the audience. There is a quid pro quo here. The host will introduce you as the author of your book in the beginning. Then maybe in the middle of the interview- and hopefully once at the end.

That is great!. You want him to promote your book - not you. But if you keep talking about it- you will come off as a pushy- pain in the butt author- and we don't want that. Your job is to teach the audience- make them fall in love with you. Not to just sell your book. So what are the 3 words that you NEVER say in an interview 'IN MY BOOK". You can refer to it by using the title... IE: When I was researching Where's Your Wow- I interviewed 100 CEOs and they taught me that...

A couple of more tips for the interview:

Over-prepare for your interview. Keep in mind that your job is to share your information and deliver an entertaining and informative interview. To begin, it's important, even if you only have a minute, to successfully interact with the host. When you greet him or her, be sure to pronounce your name. Say, "Hello, I am Robyn Spizman, which rhymes with wise-man. I'm the co-author of the Author 101 series." This will increase the odds that your name is pronounced correctly and that the host knows that you wrote your book.

Immediately thank the host for having you on, and, if you watch the show regularly, say so. "Jill. You're a credit to television. I have been your fan since you started on the morning news." Create a connection.

5 Birthday Carnival Games and Activities For Hosting a Birthday Carnival Theme Party

5 birthday carnival games and activities to get your next carnival theme birthday party hopping! All of these games are set up as different booths just like they would be at a carnival. Consider passing out tickets to the children and having each game cost 1 or 2 tickets. Some of the prizes for winning could be more tickets, so they can keep playing.

1) Quarter Toss: Put a quarter in a bucket of water. Have the kids toss a penny into the bucket trying to get it to land on top of the quarter. Harder than it sounds!

2) Strong Man: Have the kids take turns trying to lift a weight. You can use anywhere from 2 pound dumbbells to 10 pound dumbbells depending on the age of the children. Anyone able to lift it gets a prize.

3) Carnival Pie Eating Contest: Have a pie eating contest to see who can eat their slice of pie the fastest. Make sure to cut all of the slices the same size. Use a timer and a buzzer to make it even more exciting.

4) Right Duck Wrong Duck: Put plastic bathtub ducks in a kids size plastic swimming pool with water in it. Have numbers on the bottoms of the ducks. Have each child choose one duck and look at the number on the bottom. The numbers can correlate to different prizes. One number could mean the child has to forfeit all of their tickets. If this number is chosen give them a special activity they can do to get their tickets back.

5) Feed the Clown: Paint or draw a clown face on a piece of cardboard or poster board. Cut out a hole where the mouth is. Make pink fluffy bean bags and call them cotton candy. The kids must feed the clown the cotton candy to win the prize. It is a traditional bean bag toss with a carnival theme.

The Best Man - More Than a Favor to a Friend

Lets face it, the best man usually gets away without having to do anything other than just being there for a good friend, but being a best man means more than just planning the bachelor party. The best man has suggested responsibilities just like any other significant person in the wedding party, and if you happen to be committed to being the "best" best man you can be for your friend, then here are some great ideas on how you can not only be helpful, but also take your job seriously.

1.) Plan and host the bachelor party. This is usually the first responsibility of the best man, and it just happens to be the responsibility that everyone is familiar with.

2.) Help the groom choose and purchase a gift for the bride to give to her on their wedding day.

3.) Make sure the groom has the bride's wedding band and the marriage license with him on the day of the wedding. It is your responsibility to hold the bride's wedding band during the ceremony.

4.) Perform any tasks or errands the groom or the bride's mother may have for you on the big day, even if they seem minuscule, it is important that you perform them promptly and to the best of your ability.

5.) Help the groom dress for the big day (assist with his tie, cuff links, etc.) Remember: He's going to be nervous, so he'll need your help with a lot of things.

6.) If there is a ring bearer in the wedding, it is the responsibility of the best man to make sure the child knows his responsibilities and where to stand on the big day. Remember small children have stage fright, so do what you can to put the child at ease and assure him that you'll be at the end of the aisle waiting for him.

7.) Confirm that all the men in the wedding party have their boutonnières and that they are pinned in the right place on their jacket. The boutonnière is usually secured on the left lapel with the stem down.

8.) Stand in the receiving line after the wedding or at the reception to welcome/thank all of the wedding guests.

9.) You will usually be asked to give the first toast at the reception, so be sure to have one prepared. You can find great tips and sample speeches online. So don't sweat it!

10.) Traditionally the best man signs the marriage license whenever the officiate asks, whether that is before or after the ceremony.

11.) Assist with post-wedding luggage and travel arrangements to help the bride and groom make a hassle-free getaway. This includes making sure both of their luggage is in the car, and that the groom has all the necessary travel papers (hotel confirmation, directions, passports, etc.)

12.) Return the groom's tux to the tuxedo shop post-wedding, or if belongs to the groom, you should make arrangements to take it to the dry-cleaners. It is also polite to offer to pay for the dry-cleaning as a possible gift idea for the groom.

As you can see being the best man is a huge responsibility and it isn't all fun and games. It is important that you take your job seriously and do whatever you can to help out, especially by keeping the groom calm and worry-free on his big day. Remember you are the one who will be with him the whole day, so it's important that you assist in making his day go as smoothly as possible. If you are feeling overwhelmed, remember, your friend wouldn't have asked you if he didn't believe you could handle it.

Web Hosting Tips - Which Web Hosting Service Fits Me?

Once we have determined our domain name, we'll have to host it somewhere to make it available o he internet. There are important things we must consider when choosing a hosting service. So, let's get to the point, we all want our business earn as soon as possible, right?

First, if you're not really really low budgeted, you should use a paid hosting. Not all free web hostings out there are mischievous, but there are more things a paid hosting can do than a free one. If you however haven't got much choice, I recommend WordPress.com or Blogger.com for free hosting services.

You also have the right to know that when your site grows and become known better, you will want to do modifications to your site and some of them may won't be able to be done. This will make you purchase a paid hosting and a new domain name to be hosted. And you will have to build another awareness for your new site. So, decide wisely!

Hosting Location

Depends on your target market, you better choose a hosting server in the same area. For example, if USA is your target market, then pick a list of US based hosting companies. Even if you're targeting international, you need to know where the most of your visitors come from and then choose a host server in the same or the nearest location. Sometimes local web hostings are pricey, but if you have a product only fits on a specific region and has a bright prospect, a few more dough shouldn't be a problem.

Disk space

In order to make our site/blog accessible from around the globe, we need to put our site's files in the host's server, using their disk space. There are many web hosting packages each offering a different space quota to store your files. If you're beginning to start a site from scratch, you won't need a large disk space. A 50 MB of disk space should satisfy your needs for a year. But along with the size increase of your site's content, you'll need a bigger space for your site. There are two options for you, you can decide which to take based on your current budget. If your budget is limited, you can refer to web hosting services that provide packages on monthly basis. But if you have more to spend, it's better to take offers with a longer term, like yearly or bi-yearly basis. They offer a lower monthly fee, but you'll have to sign-up for one or two full year's service.

Bandwidth

When a visitor views your web page, they have the site's files like images, texts, videos, sound, etc stored in their temp folder. The amount of data transferred into your visitor's computer every time they view your page is what you require to estimate how many bandwidth quota you'll gonna reserve for a month. If you're starting a new site, a 200 to 500 MB a month should cover your data transfer. To make pictures clear, a common hit usually transfers 10-30 KB of data (may exceed if you use many images or videos), so if you have 200 MB of bandwidth quota, your site can receive 6,000-20,000 hits per month, where a brand new site usually gets (without discouraging you :) ) lower than 6,000 visits a month. Therefore, you don't have to spend your budget on something you don't need yet.

FTP Access

This is very important! Since you're gonna need it to upload new files to your site, edit or delete some contents. It is not recommended to choose a service which alternates FTP Access with their own site builder unless they provide FTP Access too, since they usually limit the modifications you can make to your site. You can have more privileges and broader areas in administrating your site using FTP Access.

Pricing

First, determine how much you're gonna spend on web hosting per year. Then list your web hosting services you found in the internet. Then, look for the price for a whole year or two. As I suggested above, if you can afford to purchase a longer term, do so! If you dont, pick an alternative package with lower price. They usually come with shorter period, less bandwidth of disk space. However, if you feel that is enough for you, purchase immediately and make sure you make a good use of it, because how well you use your resources determines more than having a great resource but know not how to utilize it.

Those are the things you can observe by reading their web page. There are also information you need to look or hear from others. You can find these information on hosting comparison websites or forums.

Security and Backups

Even if your site's a new kid on the block, you'll want a secure host to make sure your money maker is not going to be easily cracked. Especially if you choose to run an ecommerce website, security becomes one of the most vital to ensure your business survives.

Like your PC or laptop, you need to back up your system and data periodically (you do, don't you?). As well as your online business. It is your source of income and you do want to make its duplicate when something unexpected happen when all your anticipations fails. At least you don't have to start all over again.

Uptime, support, and access speed

Uptime is usually counted in hours per month. This represents how many hours the servers suffers downtime where sites hosted are inaccessible. An ideal downtime is at most 80 hours per month. Most hosting companies promotes 99% uptime guarantee. While not all of them lies, you can keep your eye on this factor while searching infos in forums, reviews and hosting comparisons.

When you're having trouble with your hosting service, you must know where to ask. Are those hosting companies provide a support team who really supports or it's just an answering machine? Look for infos for these from users' experiences written on forums and reviews.

What will you do if you have to wait a whole minute just to see a headline is being loaded. And it takes another 3 minutes to display the whole page. It's true that access speed is influenced by the number of multimedia files and text displayed on your page, but the hosting server's performance takes the same effect. If a simple web page consisting of mainly text in a lagged server loads as slow as a multimedia page, visitors won't mind leaving and go to your competitor's site. Take account also that speed of access plays a major role in earning visitors and keeping them come. Read or listen to what people say about their experience hosting their site and see how do they think of their site's access speed.

Extra tips below will help you fast decide which hosting service you need to observer more and which to forget. This'll save your time and minimize your chance of being abused.

  • Don't buy "unlimited" data transfer or disk storage. It's impossible! Limited numbers of domain hosted promotion is acceptable, but believing an unlimited storage is like believing a man lives forever.

  • If you can't find their Terms of Service on their site or you need to spend hours looking for it, don't bother studying their offers. ToS is your protection! If they're hiding it, they don't care for your site and your business. So select your partner carefully!

To be more objective, I suggest you to collect information from different hosting comparison. If a hosting company is in the top-ten or top-five list on more than one hosting comparisons, then most likely it's a trusted hosting company and many people are satisfied with their service.

Hosting a Home Poker Game

If you are too far from Vegas or Atlantic City to get a weekly poker fix and playing online just does not satisfy your need for live excitement, consider hosting your own poker night at home. All you need is some expertise, a group of poker-loving buddies, a table, a deck, and plenty of beer and chips.

For Fun or for Money?

Men have been sitting around card tables dealing hands, bluffing, and cheating their friends for decades. You do not need a felt-top poker table to play the game (though it certainly helps). What you do need is to ensure that all players are on the same page before their money or even just pride is on the table. A lot of guys like to have a cheap buy-in for their poker nights to add a little excitement to the game. Of course once you put a limit on their stacks, getting knocked out of the game also tends to make people tense. If you have got hotheads at your table, consider offering a rebuy option or leaving money out altogether.

Choose Your Game

Texas Hold 'em is the undisputed poker night champion, but to mix things up you might consider trying a new variation like Omaha 8 or teaching everyone something new by rotating games with a night of HORSE.

Know the Rules

Of course if you are going to be trying something new, you would better be sure that not just you but every player at the table knows the rules for poker games being played. Nothing ruins a poker game faster than a poor sport or the "c" word (cheating). Also, a grown man does not want his buddies to have to hold his hand during poker night, so if that same hothead friend mentioned before does not want to be put to shame in a game of Razz, you better stick to classic Hold 'em.

Supplies

As mentioned above, the supplies you need to host a poker game are relatively few. You will want your own room and a table with enough elbow space and chairs to comfortably fit all your players. Card decks are cheap, so you might consider investing in a couple new decks every time you play-this prevents players from marking cards and also saves you the time of counting out your old decks. A nice set of chips is crucial whether you are playing for cash or for glory, and with the growing popularity of the game you can get these pretty cheap too.

Once all the players are situated and satisfied with the rules, you are ready to play!

Trump Network Review

Donald John Trump born in 1946 is an American success story, a giant in the business community and when it comes to business ventures his name is synonymous.

Trump is the CEO and Chairman of Trump Organization "a U.S. based real-estate developer". He has founded Trump Entertainment Resorts, operating hotels and casinos world wide. He serves as Host for a reality show on NBC called 'The Apprentice'. He has many businesses accredited to his 'resume', such as expanding into the airline industry, residential projects such as The Trump Tower located in N.Y., N.Y. and a long list of other ventures in which I am sure keeps the man incredibly busy. One of his newer businesses is Trump Network. Here he offers health and wellness products to consumers.

In 2009, he started The Trump Network Company which is essentially a vitamin company. "The products include Priva Test, a multi-vitamin, Silhoutte Solution, a series of weight loss products, and QuikStik, mood infusion beverages". The company says they've designed these products to make people more aware of their health and in general to make them healthier.

Regarding the company's 'Priva Test' product, they say this takes the guess work out of finding a suitable vitamin by testing at home and finding out exactly what you need. In regards to the second product mentioned earlier, 'Silhoutte Solution', these are claimed to be "healthy Silhoutte-Approved". These are low calorie meals you have daily consisting of five snacks. You choose from a menu of nineteen different snack options on the meal menu. They claim to have scientific proof that it is better to eat five small meals per day verses three large meals per day, for optimum weight loss.

In regards to, the third product, 'QuikStik', these are "mood infusion", beverages taken during different parts of your day. They say, they have an effect on energy levels and the body's natural rhythms.

It's probably not a surprise that Trump Network offers a company opportunity. I can imagine people being attracted to the name of the company, alone, however, with any business opportunity there are disadvantages and advantages to take into consideration. Even Mr. Trump himself has had his fair share of ups and downs in his very lucrative career. If you have the correct mindset and the proper skillset, you may achieve success in great numbers. However, if you lack those attributes, you may fall by the waste side along with many unfortunate others. Always use caution selecting or choosing any product or company opportunity.

Uncommon Woman - Effect of Sex on Your Man

1. Exciting experience: sex provides life's most exiting experience. Words are insufficient to describe how your man feels when he encounters you in a fulfilling sex way. It arouses great commitment and physical explosion. His body system is renewed, his focus is shifted from his business or career to you.

2. Assists in career and business: It helps your husband in his career and business. A sexually fulfilled man at home will be bold enough to face the challenges of the world. He believes in himself. A sexually satisfied man is focused, he looks forward to returning home. A sexually dissatisfied man may find it difficult to concentrate; thereby jeopardizing their marriage, business and life. A sexually frustrated man has a hard time concentrating. The truly satisfied husband refuses to waste his business day on trivial things. He wants each moment to count so he can get home to his wife and family who will give his life more real purpose and meaning.

3. Aids marital fulfillment: It helps him to be faithful to his marriage vow. A sexually satisfied husband hardly looks outside for sex. If a woman does not satisfy her husband, the man will be too satisfied to think of any other woman outside. More than 80% of men caught in infidelity claimed sexually dryness at home. A man once said, "It is difficult for a man to look outside when his sexual dreams are fulfilled at home".

4. Sex satisfaction: It satisfies his sex drive. The male specie of any animal is generally sexually stronger than its female counterpart. Among human beings, men are more active and stronger than women. This does not mean that women do not have a strong sex drive, far from it, but the sex drive of a woman tends to be periodic, while that of a man is almost continuous.

5. Joy: It gives him absolute joy: Through the excitement derived from sex, your man gets joy and happiness. There is no man, who does not enjoy sex or who is not passionate about it, except he is an eunuch. Never allow him to think of any other woman, tell him you are enough for him. Show him you are more than capable to satisfy all his bedroom desires.
